CLASSES AT THE SPORTS VENUES

The Sports Venue Department is focused on providing quality sports programming for all ages, which includes health, wellness, strength, and conditioning to enhance the quality of life for the citizens in our community. Class participants will not be required to hold a Community Center membership to participate in a class.  Some classes are not included in the membership packages, some classes are an additional cost.   

 The Sports Venue Department is always looking for instructors interested in providing instructional programs at our new facilities. If you have a special skill or talent and are interested in sharing this skill through an instructional class, then this is the place to get started! Our new all-synthetic turf fields are perfect for outdoor fitness classes! Fitness Courses

Boot Camp 

The boot camp is a full-body type of group exercise class that mixes traditional callisthenic and body weight exercises with interval training and strength training. These fitness classes have grown in popularity over the years primarily because they offer a new way to get a low-cost, efficient, and challenging workout.  Intermediate to Advanced classes are offered by top-rated Certified Personal Trainer and are ongoing with a variety of sessions that caters to most schedules. Instruction provided by Robert Butler.

When:         Monday - Thursday 

Time:          5:00 AM – 6:00 AM / 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM / 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM / 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM / 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM 

Where:        Portland Sports Complex

Kids Boot Camp 

Kid's Boot Camp is a full-body workout. The kid's boot camp will be held at the Sports Complex. Morning-only classes will be offered (8:00 AM - 9:00 AM). Only water will be allowed on the field and no flavored sports drinks. (Grades 3rd - 6th). These fitness classes are led by a top-rated Certified Personal Trainer, Robert Butler.  These are ongoing summer sessions with morning-only sessions being offered.

When:         Monday - Thursday (June & July)

Time:          8:00 AM – 9:00 AM 

Where:        Portland Sports Complex

Robert Butler's Kids Fitness Training -Speed & Agility 

Robert Butler's Fitness & Training- Speed & Agility is a full-body workout. The fitness training /speed & agility will be held at the Sports Complex. Evening-only classes will be offered (7:30 PM - 8:30 PM). Only water will be allowed on the field and no flavored sports drinks. (Grades 7th and up). These fitness classes are led by a top-rated Certified Personal Trainer, Robert Butler.  These are ongoing summer sessions with evening-only sessions being offered.

When:         Monday - Thursday (June & July)

Time:          7:30 PM – 8:30 PM 

Where:        Portland Sports Complex

Camp Gladiator

Camp Gladiator is a fun, challenging, and personalized workout program designed for full-body fitness. Camp Gladiator offers amazing workouts, top-rated Certified Personal Trainers and an incredible community come together.
