The Teen Book Club is typically held once a month in the meeting room. It is open to students in 7th-12th grades, no pre-registration is required. Students are strongly encouraged to read the book of the month before attending the meeting and participate in a relaxed discussion with other teens over the book.
Selections vary from graphic novels, popular titles, and books made into movies that give young readers the freedom to find a path to a love of reading. Books read in the past include:
- Life Skills for Teens by Karen Harris (May 2022)
- Twilight by Stephanie Meyer (February 2022)
- Front Desk by Kelly Yang (November 2021)
- The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien (August 2021)
Visit the Bell/Whittington Public Library at 2400 Memorial Parkway for a copy of the current Teen Book Club book and a specific date and time of the upcoming Teen Book Club gathering.
